SETTLEMENTS AND VERDICTS

• 2.3 Million Dollar Settlement - 92 year- old Plaintiff dies 34 days after being dumped from her wheelchair by negligent nurse’s aid.
• 1.9 Million Dollar Settlement - 75 year-old Plaintiff dies after developing multiple infected pressure sores during nursing home residency.
• 1.5 Million Dollar Settlement - 24 year-old brain injured Plaintiff suffers significant weight loss and develops contractures and multiple pressure sores during nursing home residency.
• 1.25 Million Dollar Settlement - 69 year-old stroke victim Plaintiff suffers 100 pound weight loss and develops multiple pressure sores on her lower extremities including one Stage II, two Stage III and one Stage IV. Subsequent lab cultures revealed the presence of fecal contaminants in her wounds.
• $600,000 Policy Limits Settlement - 49 year-old Plaintiff suffers aggravation of a pre-existing low back injury requiring a revision decompression and posterior spinal fusion.
• $450,000 Excess Policy Limits Settlement - the deceased Plaintiff and his wife were struck as they attempted to cross the street at an intersection in Orlando, Florida. This horrible and, ultimately, fatal collision was in full view of their three minor children who were visiting Disney World from Mexico. At the time of the incident, the defendant driver only had $10,000 in insurance coverage which their insurance company refused to timely pay. After suit was filed but prior to trial the case was successfully settled with the defendant’s insurance company for an amount well in excess of the available insurance coverage.

• $112,328 Jury Verdict - 88 year-old Plaintiff falls and suffers a broken pelvis after being alone for more than 20 minutes in a medical facility’s restroom by a negligent nurse.
• $100,000 Dollar Settlement - 37 year- old Plaintiff suffers neck, shoulder and head injuries after being side-swiped by dump truck that loses control.
